Senior Software Engineer

WORKSITE:

• Berkeley, California

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Rapid coding and development of state-of-the-art engineering optimization applications and data structures in C/C++.
• Implementation and testing of numerical methods. UNIX and PC GUI development.
• Integration with 3rd party software; testing, documentation.
• Work with Newfield & customer engineers

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS/EE/Physics or related field from a top university, or equivalent experience.
• Expert level development experience in both Visual Studio on PC and with GNU tools on UNIX platforms.
• Proven ability to rapidly code/prototype using one or more of C/C++, FLTK, OpenGL, Java, X, Motif.
• Hands-on coding experience in engineering data analysis.
• Motivated self-starter who likes to work in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills & strong customer focus .

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

• Hands-on experience with GIS application coding, data mining/analysis, machine learning techniques.
• Understanding of wireless cellular systems, CDMA/spread spectrum systems, radio-frequency propagation, data collection and data processing, embedded coding experience, presentation/training skills.
