Junior RF Engineer
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with carrier client RF design and system performance
engineers on live network planning and optimization projects
- Train field engineers on planning and optimization software,
methods, procedures
- Support software development efforts by specifying new
features or recommending enhancements to existing software
capabilities
- Work with Solaris and PC–based RF planning software
- Write procedures, guidelines, project reports, training
materials
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3 years CDMA system design and/or optimization
- Deep understanding of one or more air interfaces (CDMA,
GSM, TDMA, iDEN)
- System design/engineering, link budget and traffic analysis
- Experience developing error budgets, data collection and
analysis
- Quick learner, self-motivated, attention to detail, and
strong customer service orientation
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills; good presentation
skills
DESIRABLE:
- MSEE or other advanced technical degree
- In-depth understanding of radio frequency propagation,
propagation modeling, RF test equipment
- Management, teaching, mentoring, and/or advisory experience
- Experience working with RF planning software design engineers
- Proficiency with data analysis, plotting, presentation
software
Job Location: Positions available in major metropolitan areas
in USA, including Chicago, Florida, San Francisco Bay Area,
and Texas.
Travel required: Variable, 20-50%, depending on client and
your location.
